The Atwima Nwabiagya South First Vice-Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Kwame Duodu, alias Sir John, has touted Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, as the ideal candidate for Ghana’s presidency.

In a statement on Friday, Duodu said that as Vice President, Dr. Bawumia has significantly shaped Ghana’s economic policies, leveraging his experience as a renowned economist and former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

He indicated that Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, working closely with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to drive Ghana’s development agenda. 

He noted that Dr. Bawumia has effectively navigated Ghana’s economic landscape, fostering growth and stability.

As the NPP’s flagbearer for president in the 2024 general election, Sir John said Dr. Bawumia’s policy focus prioritised economic growth, digital transformation, job creation, and social development.

Sir John urged Ghanaians to consider Dr Bawumia’s proven track record and elect him as their next president.
